Welcome to the California Senior Games Association
Summer 2026
Welcome to the California Senior Games Association (CSGA) website—and to an exciting summer of training, competition, fitness, and friendship.
On behalf of the California Senior Games Association Board of Directors, our regional Games coordinators, volunteers, sponsors, and athlete representatives, I extend a warm welcome to athletes throughout California and beyond. We wish you a healthy, active, and rewarding summer as you pursue your personal goals through sport and physical activity.
2026: A National Senior Games Qualifying Year
The year 2026 is especially important because it serves as the qualifying year for the 2027 National Senior Games, which will be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma, from June 30 through July 11, 2027.
California athletes have outstanding opportunities to compete, qualify, and represent our state on the national stage. Whether you are a returning champion, a first-time participant, or someone considering entering competition for the first time, we encourage you to take part in the Senior Games experience.
About the California Senior Games Association
The California Senior Games Association (CSGA) is the official state organization representing California within the National Senior Games Association (NSGA). Our mission is to promote healthy aging, lifelong fitness, friendly competition, and meaningful social connections through organized sports and recreational activities.
CSGA works in partnership with regional Senior Games organizations throughout California to provide opportunities for adults age 50 and older to remain active, challenge themselves, and celebrate the joy of sport.
California Regional Senior Games
California currently offers three official regional Senior Games organizations that provide qualifying opportunities for the 2027 National Senior Games:
- Bay Area Senior Games
- Pasadena Senior Games
- San Diego Senior Games
Athletes may participate in any designated California qualifying competition and may qualify in multiple sports and events in accordance with National Senior Games Association rules.
Why Senior Games Matter
The Senior Games are about much more than medals and records. They represent a commitment to healthy aging, lifelong learning, perseverance, and personal achievement.
Every year, thousands of athletes demonstrate that age is not a barrier to excellence. Participants discover new friendships, improve their physical and mental well-being, and inspire others through their dedication and enthusiasm.
Whether your sport is swimming, track and field, tennis, pickleball, golf, cycling, archery, basketball, badminton, table tennis, or another event, the Senior Games provide a welcoming community where everyone can strive to be their best.
Senior Games: Winning Never Grows Old
We invite you to watch our recorded seminar, “Senior Games – Winning Never Grows Old,” presented on March 13, 2026.

Stay Connected
We encourage athletes throughout California to share their Senior Games experiences.
Post your stories, photographs, training successes, and competition highlights through our social media channels. Your experiences help inspire others to stay active and become part of the Senior Games community.
Together, we celebrate the spirit of healthy aging through sport.
